Nippon Chemi-Con Developed DKA Series Radial Lead Type Supercapacitors with Top-class Low Internal Resistance
Nippon Chemi-Con has succeeded in the development of Radial Lead Type Supercapacitors DKA Series and will start mass production. The Series is suitable for use as backup power supplies for automobiles and peak assisting power supplies for portable equipment.
Nippon Chemi-Con has mass-produced screw terminal-type large-capacitance supercapacitors and supplied products for energy regeneration applications in automobiles, heavy construction equipment, and harbor cranes. Nippon Chemi-Con has also supplied products for equipment for preventing instantaneous voltage drops and vending machines for disaster countermeasures.
The newly developed DKA Series is a compact radial lead type and this is Nippon Chemi-Con's first commercialization of supercapacitors of the same type.
The DKA Series is a high-output type with the industry's highest class of low internal resistance and has achieved more efficient charge and discharge. Furthermore, the wide category temperature range from -40℃ to +70℃ allows use in harsh temperature environments. Nippon Chemi-Con plan to start mass production of products with a case size of φ18 x 50 Lmm and gradually expand to other sizes.
Nippon Chemi-Con proposes these products for electricity storage devices for power backup on automotive devices where demand is expected to grow, such as electric door unlocking, shift-by-wire, and EPS. Nippon Chemi-Con also proposes them for applications such as peak assisting power supplies of portable devices.
