Nippon Chemi-Con expands the product lineup by adding SMD Type Conductive Polymer Aluminum Solid Capacitors PXT Series with improved moisture resistance. 


Conductive polymer aluminum solid capacitors NPCAPTM have ultra-low ESR characteristics and excellent noise absorption. They are used in many devices as optimum products for digital information appliances such as personal computers. 


In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of electronic devices requiring stable operation in more severe environments. Nippon Chemi-Con has decided to improve the moisture resistance of conductive polymer capacitors in response to this trend. 


The PXT Series has a moisture resistance guaranteeing 1,000 hours at 85℃ 85%RH, improved from the conventional 1,000 hours at 60℃ 95%RH. Nippon Chemi-Con proposes them for use in communications base stations and industrial equipment that are expected to be used in harsh environments. 


[Technical Features] 

Nippon Chemi-Con clarified the mechanism that leads to the degradation of product characteristics due to the speed of moisture intrusion into products and the water resistance of conductive polymer in high-humidity environments. 


To achieve high moisture resistance, Nippon Chemi-Con adopted a conductive polymer electrolyte and optimized the polymerization process in mass production. Through this, Nippon Chemi-Con has significantly reduced the change in characteristics during water adsorption.
