Nippon Chemi-Con Developed KWA Series Radial Lead Type Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors Guaranteeing 5,000 hours at 105℃
Nippon Chemi-Con has developed high withstand voltage Radial Lead Type Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors KWA Series for input filtering of digital home appliances, general-purpose power supplies, and adapters.
As power supplies and adapters become more compact, aluminum electrolytic capacitors are required to have smaller sizes (higher capacitance) as well as longer life and resistance to environmental temperatures.
Nippon Chemi-Con has commercialized the KHE Series guaranteeing 2,000 hours at 105℃ for the same field, but in response to market demand for longer life, Nippon Chemi-Con has developed and commercialized the KWA Series.
The KWA Series has a rated voltage range of 400 to 450V and an endurance guaranteeing a long life of 5,000 hours at 105℃.
Furthermore, to cope with environmental temperatures, Nippon Chemi-Con has expanded the category temperature range to -40℃. They also offered a wide range of sizes including ⌀10×50mm and ⌀12.5×50mm for the thinning of outdoor power supplies, thin power supplies, and adapters.
Nippon Chemi-Con has achieved a smaller size and longer life by adopting a high-capacitance aluminum electrode foil developed in-house and by improving element encasing efficiency in aluminum cases.

The KWA Series has been in mass production since December 2013 at Chemi-Con Iwate Corp. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nippon Chemi-Con)
