Nippon Chemi-Con is expanding its product lineup with the addition of SMD Type Conductive Polymer Aluminum Solid Capacitors PXN Series. The Series complies with the standard of reliability tests (AEC-Q 200) for automotive passive components. 


The PXN Series achieves a moisture resistance of 1,000 hours at 85℃ 85% RH, an improvement from the conventional 1,000 hours at 60℃ 95% RH. As a result, Nippon Chemi-Con is strengthening Nippon Chemi-Con's ability to propose products to the automotive electronics market in compliance with AEC-Q 200. 


As the use of electronic control systems in automobiles is rapidly advancing, the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) market is growing rapidly. Since automotive equipment is installed not only inside the cabin but also on the outside, exposure to low temperature and high humidity environments is expected depending on the area and climate they are used in. The PXN Series has been developed with these usage environments in mind. 


Although Nippon Chemi-Con has already commercialized the PXD Series as conductive polymer aluminum solid capacitors for automotive applications, the newly developed PXN Series employs high-capacitance aluminum electrode foils and optimizes the element structure. As a result, the capacitance is up to 3.2 times higher than that of the PXD Series.
