Nippon Chemi-Con has developed the "PXT Series" SMD type Conductive Polymer Aluminum Solid Capacitors with improved humidity resistance performance to expand its product line.

 

The conductive polymer aluminum solid capacitor "NPCAPTM" has ultra-low ESR properties for superior noise absorption, and is the perfect component for many digital information and home appliance products, such as personal computers.

 

In recent years, there has been demand for electronic equipment with stable operation in even more severe environments, so we decided to improve the humidity resistance performance of our conductive polymer capacitors.

 

The PXT series improves the 1000 hour guarantee at 60℃, 95% RH to a 1000 hour guarantee at 85℃, 85% RH.


This series would be suggested for use in telecommunications equipment, such as that used at telecommunications base stations that would be used in severe environments, and industrial equipment.

 

Technological Points

In order to improve humidity resistance, the company adopted an electrolyte and an improved polymerization procedure for the conductive polymer and was successful in reducing property fluctuations when moisture was adsorbed.
