Nippon Chemi-Con Developed HXA Series SMD-Type Conductive Polymer Hybrid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
Nippon Chemi-Con Corporation has developed the HXA series of surface mount type Conductive Polymer Hybrid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors for use in the automotive electronics products and industrial equipment markets where high reliability and a high withstand voltage are required.
This product uses both a conductive polymer and a liquid electrolyte, realizing low ESR characteristics that cannot be achieved with conventional aluminum electrolytic capacitors and a higher capacitance and higher withstand voltage than conductive polymer aluminum solid capacitors.
The ESR of the HXA series is 20 to 120mΩ, which is about one tenth that of low ESR type aluminum electrolytic capacitors (125℃ products). The leakage current is also reduced to about one twentieth that of conventional conductive polymer aluminum solid capacitors.
Mass production schedule
Sample HXA series started shipping in July 2012, with mass production started in January 2013.
