Nippon Chemi-Con Developed KXL Series Radial Lead Type Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors with a Long Life of 12,000Hours at 105℃
Nippon Chemi-Con has developed high withstand voltage Radial Lead Type Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors KXL Series for input filtering applications of communications equipment and general-purpose power supplies.
As power supply equipment becomes smaller, aluminum electrolytic capacitors are required to be smaller in size and larger in capacitance, have a longer life, and be able to cope with environmental temperatures.
In response to these demands, Nippon Chemi-Con has commercialized the KXG and KXJ Series and received positive feedback from customers. To meet further demands such as higher capacitance in the communication equipment field and smaller size in the reliable power supply field, Nippon Chemi-Con has decided to commercialize the KXL Series.
The KXL Series has a 400 to 450V rated voltage range and a long life guaranteeing 12,000 hours at 105℃.
In addition, to cope with environmental temperatures, the product can be used at temperatures at a minimum of -40℃ on the low-temperature side even as a high withstand voltage product.
Nippon Chemi-Con has prepared case sizes φ10 x 50 L and φ12.5 x 50 L (mm) for slim power supply applications so that applications can be thinned by horizontal mounting.
In development, Nippon Chemi-Con adopted a high-capacitance aluminum electrode foil developed in-house. Furthermore, by increasing the storage efficiency of elements in aluminum cases, the capacitors are smaller and have a longer life.
[Samples and Mass Production]
The KXL Series was available as samples from May 2016, and mass production started in June 2016. They were produced at Chemi-Con Iwate Corp. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nippon Chemi-Con)
