The resin-molded chip type Conductive Polymer Aluminum Solid Capacitors PMA Series is a highly reliable product. The series has achieved a low profile of 3.0mm at maximum by using Nippon Chemi-Con company's proprietary technology of sealing with resin mold instead of aluminum cases or sealing rubber. Since its launch, they have been used in slim digital devices such as notebook computers and have been well received.

In order to further reduce the size and thickness of equipment, Nippon Chemi-Con has developed a product with 1.4 times higher capacitance compared to conventional products and added it to the Nippon Chemi-Con lineup.

The PMA Series high capacitance type has a maximum capacitance of 100µF (rated voltage 16V) in products sized φ7 x 3 Lmm. This makes it easier to replace tantalum capacitors.

Nippon Chemi-Con proposes these products to slim PC related equipment such as notebook PCs and graphic boards.

[Technical Features]

The use of high-capacitance electrode foils and the development of new processes have enabled us to achieve higher capacitance. It also maintains the same low ESR characteristics as conventional products.

[Samples]

The high capacitance type PMA Series is already available as samples, and mass production started in April 2019. They were produced at Chemi-Con Yamagata Corp. Yonezawa Plant (a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Chemi-Con)
