SMAC’s new product expansion continues with the following releases;
The VLC: This has now gone through Area Manager check. It was released as a module in January. List price is $250 in the US. $275 outside. It operates more or less like a LAC 1 with added multi-pole capability. There is plenty of room for discounting.
Each area has been asked to develop at least 1 500+ unit a year customer. To help hit this we will be adding a molded controller module with DB connectors by the end of the first quarter. These will be in-house molded on our first -Low pressure -injection molding machine.
Next up will be a VLC with integrated master controller that lets us work with Ethernet IP and CAT. Target list here less than$400 list.
After that 2 and 4 axis versions that will be around $250 an axis. So, the SMAC linear rotaries will have low cost 2 axis. Complementary controllers. We are also making a 10 axis stack with Master.
Full stroke LBL -25, 100, 150, and 200 mm strokes have been added. We will add printed coil technology and then move on to the LSL (Short) version that has about the same footprint as the LCA 25. Price for that will be $50 lower than the LBL.We also will be adding our new 2 coil system for high speed low back EMF applications.
CTL50, 25mm stroke added as well as special versions for dispensing OEMs that enable us to kick out the number 1 low cost air cylinder and its accompanying Blue Valve. The 25 mm stroke beats a well known French ball screw for dispensing. We match their price and -because of Soft-Land -do not need a proximity sensor to detect the surface. So its a cost down for the customer.
Quite a number of MCA inside units:
●LBS17-cross roller 0.1 micron for China Bio Tech OEM.
●LBL20 -cross roller 0.1 micron for large German measurement machine builder -we come in $100 lower than the LVDT we are replacing. We are laser marking their logo on the outside of the magnet housing.
●LBL10-this has 3 applications so far, LVDT replacement, dispensing with shaft running through the back of the actuator and replacement for Festo slides on Electronic Pick & Place.
●LBR62 -has high torque HT 55 in it.
●SQL90(SQ stands for square). This is for filling valves.
These units have standard pistons and magnets so the development time is less than 4weeks.In many cases they are“Form Fit”for the customer.
Next up will be the HT35 Motor, samples already in the field and first apps in, and the CRB, again samples already in the field.
