Terminal Crimping Precautions
In this article Deke will share with you the precautions for Terminal crimping. First, we need to confirm that the corresponding die and blade are matched with our single terminal before crimping, otherwise, no matter how to adjust the crimping, we will not get qualified products; then what problems will we encounter when crimping?
First: irregular wire sheath cutting
Second: cut off/wound the core wire
Third: pull out the core wires irregularly when cutting the insulation skin
There are generally two reasons for these problems: tool wear or improper adjustment of blade cutting depth. Therefore, we must first detect the blade. If there is wear and tear, the blade should be replaced. In addition, the cutting depth of the blade will be irregular if the cutting depth is shallow, and the core wire will be cut off if the cutting is too deep. So we need to adjust a depth of cutting to a appropriate position.
The above are some common solutions in our crimping process.
