Cmsemicon Unveils the Cost-Effective CMS32M65 Chip Series for Compact Motor Applications
China Micro Semicon Co., Limited announced its new layout and plans for motor control, officially releasing the cost-effective CMS32M65 chip series for compact motor applications. The CMS32M65 family is designed to simplify systems and reduce system costs for size- and cost-sensitive compact motor applications such as smart home, green ride, white goods, power tools, and industrial motor control, providing flexible design support to help customers accelerate their time to market.
Cmsemicon provides rich product resources for motor development and innovation and offers three different levels of product support for different development conditions and motor types: compact, lightweight, and general purpose, aiming to facilitate easy and rapid development for customers with comprehensive, mass-production-level, one-stop solutions.
The CMS32M65 series mainly includes three models, CMS32M6510, CMS32M6526x, and CMS32M6534x, focusing on low power consumption, high performance, and high-cost performance. The CMS32M6510 is released as a star product for compact motor applications, which significantly improves the high-cost performance of this product with its excellent performance and energy efficiency.
In response to the large demand in the compact application market, Cmsemicon has successfully upgraded the CMS32M6510 based on the CMS32M5510. The CMS32M6510 adopts Arm Cortex®-M0+ architecture with 64M main frequency, and has built-in ±1% high precision internal oscillation, providing ultra-low power operating current of less than 6mA. The CMS32M6510 is an ideal choice for cost-sensitive customers because of its rich internal resources, including three differential PGAs for high-bandwidth motors, a DAC, two comparators, a high-precision reference voltage, and an ADC with a 1M conversion rate.
The CMS32M6510 is a representative of the outstanding chip in the compact motor market, the chip temperature can be up to industrial standards of -40℃ to +105℃, providing safety functions (IEC60730 safety certification), over-voltage, over-temperature, and other comprehensive protection functions, which can detect errors and stop motor operation in case of errors, ensuring stable and reliable system operation status and meeting the needs of a variety of space-sensitive applications. The CMS32M6510 supports multiple types of motor control applications and is available in SOP16, SSOP24, and QFN24 packages. In the first quarter of 2023, it has been officially mass-produced.
In dealing with complex motor application control, Cmsemicon has been cooperating with domestic and foreign motor application customers, providing technology from hardware to algorithm and a full range of product resources. In addition to MCUs, Cmsemicon also provides peripheral devices in the motor power supply field. Its product line covers PN three-phase driver CMS6971 with a voltage withstand the level of 40V, full-N three-phase driver CMS6164 with a voltage withstand the level of 200V, dual LDO CMS6021 with zero standby power consumption and other driver power supply chips, IGBTs and MOSFETs of various voltage levels. Cmsemicon's profound technology accumulation can provide customers with a complete and competitive one-stop solution.
The release of CMS32M6510 further enriches Cmsemicon's motor control product line, which is of great significance in promoting Cmsemicon to enhance its position as the leader in the field of domestic motor control and further exploring the development opportunities in new motor fields. The CMS32M6526x and CMS32M6534x, SoCs based on the CMS32M6510, will be released simultaneously.
