Core Recording Micro Semiconductor recently released the latest programming software update and a list of newly supported chip models. Among them, the 32-bit microcontroller TMS320F28066PZ of TI Texas Instruments has been supported by Core Recording Micro's general programming platform AP8000.


Optimized for processing, sensing, and actuation, C2000™ 32-bit microcontrollers improve performance in real-time control applications such as industrial motor drives, photovoltaic inverters and digital power supplies, electric vehicles and transportation, motor control, and sensing and signal processing closed-loop performance. The C2000 series includes advanced performance MCUs and entry-level performance MCUs.


The TMS320F28066PZ microcontroller (MCU) powers the C28x core and the CLA coupled with highly integrated control peripherals in a device with fewer pins. Devices in this family are code-compatible with legacy C28x-based code while offering a high level of analog integration.


An internal regulator enables single-supply rail operation. Implemented improvements to the HRPWM module to provide dual-edge control (frequency modulation). An analog comparator with a 10-bit internal reference has also been added to the device, which can be directly connected to control the ePWM output. The ADC performs conversions over a fixed full-scale range of 0V to 3.3V and supports the ratiometric operation of VREFHI/VREFLO references. The ADC interface has been optimized for low overhead and latency.



The AP8000 versatile programmer independently developed by Core Micro Semiconductor includes three major parts: a host, a backplane, and an adapter seat.


The host supports USB and NET connections, allowing multiple programmers to be networked, achieving the goal of controlling multiple programmers to burn simultaneously. The built-in chip safety protection circuit ensures that even short circuits caused by chip reversal or other reasons can be immediately detected and powered off to ensure the safety of the chip and IC automatic burner. Embedded high-speed FPGA greatly accelerates data transmission and processing. There is an SD card slot on the back of the host computer. The engineering files produced by the PC software are placed in the root directory of the SD card and inserted into the slot. By pressing the buttons on the programmer, you can select, load, and execute commands such as programming engineering files to achieve the goal of being operable without the PC, greatly reducing the cost of PC hardware configuration, and facilitating and quickly matching the working environment.


The AP8000 universal programmer makes the host more scalable by adding an adapter board to the backplane. Currently, it supports all devices produced by mainstream semiconductor manufacturers. Supported device types include NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, and other file formats, including Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF.
