LEMON Photonics Large-angle Flat-top Field VCSEL Light Laser Module Scheme for ToF

Large angle flat top light field VCSEL line laser module scheme for OF orient
LEMON Photonics VCSEL series line laser module adopts a customized VCSEL array chip and specially designed large-angle line mirror to achieve a high-quality linear light field. Its advantages over traditional EEL line light sources are as follows:
(1) The industry's first large-angle flat-top light field: the distribution of 120° large-angle flat-top light field without edge breakage has stronger edge energy and is more conducive to large-angle radar to make up for edge energy ( Figure 4 for comparison of the light field distribution of traditional EEL modules);
(2) Narrower laser linewidth: the energy is more concentrated, and the signal-to-noise ratio is effectively improved in the airspace;
(3) The temperature drift coefficient is small: it is 1/5 of the EEL, and a narrower band filter can be used at the receiving end to effectively improve the signal-to-noise ratio in the frequency domain;
(4) Higher reliability: VCSEL light-emitting surface is uniform than EEL, with higher relative power density and better reliability;
(5) Cost-effective: VCSEL provides more optimized costs in chip, packaging, and module assembly.

(a) The VCSEL line light source achieves a light field of 120°, of which the flat top light distribution is greater than 90°;
(b) The traditional EEL line light source has a near-Gaussian light field distribution, the edge energy does not meet the sensing signal requirements, and the line is broken at a large angle
The LEMON photonics line laser module has an M-shaped light field distribution, and the M-type light field distribution with strong edge energy is more conducive to large-angle radar to make up for edge energy. Far-field narrow-edge energy is more concentrated.
