Nippon Chemi-Con Added Low-Profile Versions and Low-ESR Versions to the PXF Series of SMD-Type Conductive Polymer Aluminum Solid Capacitors
Nippon Chemi-Con Corporation has added low-profile versions and low-ESR versions to its PXF series of surface mount type conductive polymer aluminum solid capacitors.
While maintaining the characteristics of the smallest product (5.0φ×4.6mm) in the current PXF series, products with a 4.0mm height, that is, a 15% height reduction, have been added to the series. The ratings of the two added products are 220μF at 2.5V and 150μF at 6.3V, and the ESR is 25mΩ for both.
A product with a size of 6.3φ×4.5mm, a rated voltage of 2.5V, a capacitance of 330μF, and an ESR of 12mΩ has also been added to the PXF series. Compared with the existing product (6.3φ×4.6mm, rated voltage of 2.5V, capacitance of 330μF), the ESR has been reduced by 25% while suppressing the height.
Mass production schedule
Sample PXF series SMD-Type Conductive Polymer Aluminum Solid Capacitors of the 4.0mm height version started shipping in July 2012, with mass production started in October.
Sample PXF series of the ultra-low ESR version with a height of 4.5mm also started shipping in July 2012, with mass production started in August.
