The inductor is generally composed of the framework, winding, shield, packaging material, magnetic ,core, or iron core.
1. Skeleton generally refers to the bracket for winding coils. Some fixed inductors or adjustable inductors (such as oscillation coil, choke coil, etc.) are usually wrapped with enameled wire (or gauze wire) around the framework, and then the magnetic core, copper core, and iron core are installed in the inner cavity of the framework to improve the inductance. The skeleton is usually made of plastic, bakelite and ceramic, and can be made into different shapes according to actual needs. Small inductors (such as color-coded inductors) usually do not use a skeleton but directly wind the enameled wire around the core. Hollow inductor (also known as tire removal coil or air core coil, mostly used in high frequency circuit) does not need magnetic core, skeleton and shielding cover, etc. instead, it is wound on the mold first, and then take off the mold, and pull a certain distance between the coils.
2. Winding winding refers to a group of coils with specified functions, which is the basic component of inductor. The winding can be divided into single layer and multi-layer. The single-layer winding can be divided into two forms: dense winding (one coil of wire is next to another) and indirect winding (a certain distance separates each coil of the wire during winding); multi-layer winding has many forms, such as layered flat winding, random winding, and honeycomb winding.
3. The core and rod are generally made of Ni Zn ferrite (NX Series) or Mn Zn ferrite (MX Series) and other materials, which have various shapes such as I-shaped, column-shaped, cap-shaped, E-shaped, and can-shaped.
4. The core materials mainly include silicon steel sheet, permalloy, etc., and their shapes are mostly "e" type.
5. To avoid the influence of the magnetic field produced by some inductors on the normal operation of other circuits and components, a metal screen cover (such as the oscillation coil of semiconductor radio) is added. The inductor with a shield will increase the loss of coil and decrease the Q value.
6. After some inductors (such as color code inductor and color ring inductor) are wound, the coil and magnetic core are sealed with packaging materials. The packaging materials are plastic or epoxy resin.
