Innovision Semiconductor‘s Highly Integrated Parallel Synchronous Buck Converter IS6608A Won the “2022 Most Valuable Market Project Award“
After five months of intense competition, the award list for "Core China 2022" has been released, and Changgong Micro's (Innovision Semiconductor) highly integrated parallel synchronous buck converter has won the "2022 Most Valuable Market Project Award".
In recent years, China's self-sufficiency rate for integrated circuits has been on the rise and is expected to reach 19.6% by 2022. However, despite this progress, there remains significant room for domestic substitution. With the emergence of new computing fields such as the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence in China, there is a growing need for independent research and development of high-precision, high-efficiency low-voltage, and high-current power modules. Based on the market for CPU and GPU localization, there is a need for independent research and development of high-precision, high-efficiency power management chips that operate at low voltage and high current levels.
IS6608A is a fully integrated high frequency synchronous buck converter compatible with the PMBusTM interface. It adopts multiphase parallel technology and can support up to 8 chips in parallel to achieve a peak output current of 280A. IS6608A has a faster transient response speed than foreign chips, excellent dynamic phase number management technology (automatic phase lifting and lowering), and a comprehensive telemetry digital communication function, which greatly improves the efficiency and convenience of the chip.
IS6608A uses PMBus3.1 interface for device operation setting and detection, with internal LDO bias and external bias, external bias can further improve efficiency. A precise differential detection scheme and an internal accurate 0.6V±1% reference voltage help to achieve good linearity and load regulation over the temperature range.
IS6608A highly integrated protection functions: overcurrent protection, negative overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, Undervoltage protection, and overtemperature protection, support four kinds of frequency programmable (400kHz, 600kHz, 800kHz, 1MHz), mainly used in industrial, communication, computing power supply and other markets.
As the first multi-phase parallel power supply chip that can supply power to CPU in China, Changwork Micro IS6608A broke the technical monopoly of European and American power chip manufacturers in multi-phase power supply, filled the gap in the domestic market, and helped "China Chip" with international vision and first-class quality.
