MindMotion Low-Power MM32L0130 Series of MCUs Features an Arm Cortex-M0+ Processor Operating at up to 48MHz
2022-08-02——MindMotion announced the low-power MM32L0130 series of MCUs.The MM32L0130 features an Arm Cortex-M0+ processor, integrated segment LCD driver, and power consumption as low as 100nA for a wide range of low-power applications.
L0130 Series Features
1. Rich resources
Arm® Cortex-M0+ core, operating at up to 48MHz
Up to 64KB Flash, 8KB SRAM
UART interfaces x3 (including 1x LPUART interface), SPI interfaces x2, I²S interfaces x2, I²C Interface x1
LCD driver supports up to 40x4 or 36x8 segments
IRM infrared signal modulation module x1, supporting ASK, PSK, or FSK modulation
5-channel DMA
16-bit timers x5
Hardware Calendar RTC
2-bit SAR ADC x1, with 15 external channels and conversion rates up to 1MSPS
Low-power comparator x1
Operating voltage: 1.8-5.5V
Temperature range: -40~85℃
Multiple power-saving operating modes support the needs of low-power applications
Available in LQFP64 and LQFP48 packages
2. Advanced LCD controller
Supports use in standby mode with a minimum power consumption of 1.5μA
Up to 40x4 or 36x8 segments can be supported. Frame rate and contrast are adjustable with all segments can be configured for blinking
Any mapping of COM and SEG can be configured via an internal remapping matrix, providing the option of single-layer PCB routing
Built-in charge pump that operates at 1.8~5.5V maintains LCD clarity even when MCU power supply voltage drops
Multiple duty and bias modes available to suit all LCD types
3. Excellent low-power performance
The excellent low-power modes of the L0130 product provide the best balance between low power consumption, short start-up times, and multiple wake-up events. The main modes are listed below for reference:
Low Power Run mode: CPU, all chip peripherals including CPU peripherals such as NVIC, SysTick, etc. are available. Power consumption is only 270μA at 1MHz main frequency. This mode can run up to 2MHz
Sleep mode: CPU stopped, all chip peripherals including those of the CPU can still run. Operating power consumption at 57μA/MHz, up to 48MHz
Deep Stop mode: CPU and most peripheral clocks are stopped, providing the ability to send and receive data from the LPUART, with RTC running and LCD displaying while maintaining the contents of registers and RAM. Lowest power consumption down to 400nA
Standby mode: All contents lost except backup domain, RTC, and LCD display can be supported. The lowest power consumption is as low as 300nA
Shutdown mode: Only POR, partial logic of PMU, Reset Pin, and IO wake-up logic are still operating. The lowest power consumption is as low as 100nA
L0130 Selection Guide and Purchase Channels
Samples are now available in both LQFP64 and LQFP48 packages with a temperature range of -40~85℃. MM32L0130 is now supported by leading design tool and programmer manufacturers.
The EVB-L0130 development board is already available for evaluation, which is equipped with the MM32L0136C7P and onboard peripheral modules such as segment LCD screen etc.
In terms of software support, MindSDK, the new software development platform launched by MindMotion, will also support the MM32L0130 series in August, please stay tuned.
