Metallux ME504压力传感器采用陶瓷基板和冲压膜片，基于压阻原理工作。Wheatstone电桥印刷在冲压陶瓷膜片的一侧，该膜片随后被粘接到传感器本体上。电桥面向内部，其中有一个腔室，因此膜片的另一侧可以直接暴露于被测介质。由于Al2O3陶瓷优异的化学耐腐蚀性（耐腐蚀性气体、大多数溶剂和酸等），通常不需要额外的保护。传感器本体上的布局优化，以便在需要时轻松安装信号调理PCB。Metallux ME504传感器通过激光可调PTC电阻进行热补偿，陶瓷的使用确保在整个测量范围内具有高线性度，将滞后效应降至最低。
