ME506 datasheet FLUSH DIAPHRAGM, PIEZORESISTIVE CERAMIC PRESSURE SENSOR

2025-03-19
The Metallux ME506 pressure sensors are designed with a ceramic base plate and a flush diaphragm, operating on the piezoresistive principle. These sensors feature a Wheatstone bridge screen printed on one side of the flush ceramic diaphragm, which is then glued to the sensor's body. The bridge faces the inside of the sensor where a cavity is created, allowing the diaphragm's opposite side to be directly exposed to the medium being measured. The Al2O3 ceramic material provides excellent chemical resistance, eliminating the need for additional protection. The ME506 sensors are known for their reduced diameter of 15 mm. They are thermally compensated by laser-adjustable PTC resistors, and the ceramic construction ensures high linearity across the entire measurement range. Key features include excellent resistance to corrosion and abrasion, a small diameter, and the availability of absolute measurement options.
