●Reason for EOL:
■Due to the closing of the wafer fabrication site, it has been determined that the TS8388B Series 8-bit 1Gsps ADC has reached the end of its product life cycle.
■The AT84AD001B Series Dual 8-bit 1Gsps ADC is the suggested replacement device for Commercial and Industrial grade applications. Atmel suggests that customers convert their design to the AT84AD001B Series that offers lower power consumption, an integrated 1:2 DMUX and 3-wire serial programming interface. Appendix 1 provides the list of affected part numbers and suggested replacement part numbers.
■The AT84AD001B Series is available in a low power plastic LQFP 144 pin package, provides 1.5GHz of input analog bandwidth and capability of interleaving 2 separate channels. The AT84AD001B Series has been in full production since March 2004 and uses a high speed BiCMOS process.
■No replacement device is planned for Military or Space grade applications.
■For customers needing longer part availability for the TS8388B Series, special long-term supply contracts will be considered based on an Atmel Wafer Storage Program.
■For customers intending in migrating to the AT84AD001B Series Dual 8-bit 1Gsps ADC, Atmel remains committed to providing all necessary technical support to help them in the transition
