R1526 Series, 300 mA, Maximum 42V Input Voltage Regulator with High Noise Immunity Suited for Automotive and Industrial Applications
Nisshinbo has launched the R1526 series, a Voltage Regulator with high input voltage suitable for use in automotive and industrial applications.
As automobiles are equipped with more communication modules such as V2X and millimeter-wave radars than ever, noise immunity specifications of electronic equipment are getting more important and EMC testing standards stricter. To meet these market requirements, we provide the R1526 series which adopts the same noise immunity technology as the R1525 series and the R1540 series. The product with patent-pending immunity enhancing technology will contribute to maintaining a stable output voltage and preventing malfunctions of your system.
The R1526 series has a wide input voltage range from 3.5 V to 42 V with a maximum rating of 50 V, and therefore can be powered directly from an automotive battery or an industrial power supply. It can output a current up to 300 mA, and has as high an output voltage accuracy as ±0.6%. Also, the voltage regulator achieves fast transient response despite the low supply current of 32 µA. These features enable the regulator to be used in automotive and industrial systems which require countermeasures against noise, including power supplies for sensors, communication modules and interior light.
The R1526 adopts HSOP-8E package to prevent short between adjacent pins by allocating no-connection pins between pins which have different voltage nodes.
We prepare various quality grades for the IC, including automotive (Rank K and A), industrial and consumer grades. You can select the optimal grade according to your applications.

Key Features of R1526 Series
1. Prevention of Output Voltage Fluctuations Caused by High-frequency Noise with a Bandwidth between 10 MHz to 1 GHz
Electromagnetic noise (EMC noise) generated by various automotive communication modules such as V2X and millimeter-wave radars may have a negative impact on the voltage regulator’s output voltage. You can take countermeasures against the EMC noise by such as equipping a system with noise filtering components, but these methods tend to increase cost and size of the board. By using the R1526, thanks to the high noise immunity achieved by our patent-pending circuit design technology, you can construct noise-immune systems even without any special countermeasures.

2. Compatibility of Low Supply Current and Fast Response
There is a trade-off relation between supply current and response ability of a voltage regulator. The R1526 series, however, accomplishes good transient response despite its low supply current of 32 µA.

3. Pin Configuration Considering Short between Adjacent Pins
To prevent short between adjacent pins caused by mounting failure and deterioration over time, the R1526 series adopts HSOP-8E package so that no-connection pins are allocated between pins which have different voltage nodes. This helps reduce the risk of adjacent-pin short.
