Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of the development of the first MUSES-series high-sound-quality power management IC.


Overview

As of January 1, 2022, Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. was born by the Integration of New Japan Radio Co., Ltd. and Ricoh Electronic Devices Co., Ltd.


As part of product development taking advantage of both companies strength,Nisshinbo will add to the “MUSES” series power management ICs fusing the high-soundquality technology of New Japan Radio and the high-performance power management IC technology of Ricoh Electronic Devices.


“MUSES” series is a series of devices developed exclusively for audios. It is aimed to offer audio fans the "real pure sound" that resonates in the heart by reproducing the sounds high in quality and close to original sounds.


MUSES series mainly has a lineup of high-sound-quality operation amplifiers and audio volumes and is highly evaluated from the market.


Ricoh Electronic Devices, on the other hand, has high market share in the field of power management ICs featuring ultra-low-noise and high-ripple-rejection technologies which it has developed for many years.


Nisshinbo will fuse these two companies technologies to develop high-sound-quality power management ICs. The first product will be suitable for D/A converters maximizing sound quality.


Features

Nisshinbo will not only enhance electrical characteristics of ultra-low noise and high ripple rejection but also optimize circuitry and chip layout to develop power management ICs that achieve high sound quality.


Nisshinbo will apply to the new power management ICs a special manufacturing process and high-sound-quality assembly technology which we have developed for many years.
