Started Solution Business Using “Odor Sensing Platform“, Nisshinbo Signed Joint Development Agreement with Ainos and Taiwan Inabata Sangyo
Nisshinbo Micro Devices (NISD) has signed a joint development agreement with Ainos, Inc. (Ainos) and its partner company, Taiwan Inabata Sangyo Co. (Inabata), to create innovative services utilizing the "Odor Sensing Platform."
This joint development aims to address significant societal issues such as aging equipment and labor shortages in the industrial sector while also fostering new business opportunities. It marks a crucial step in NISSHINBO's journey towards expanding our solution business. The technology for electrically detecting and identifying the sense of smell, one of the five human senses, is a field expected to thrive in the future. NISSHINBO will harness Ainos' "Odor Sensing Platform," which holds the potential to tackle this challenge, as NISSHINBO embarks on the endeavor of providing solutions in emerging markets.
The "odor business" is currently undergoing examination for potential applications in healthcare, sensing, environmental control, and more. Meanwhile, Ainos' "Odor Sensing Platform" comprises sensors, signal processing, AI algorithms, and cloud-based big data utilization, enhancing traditional odor sensing capabilities and realizing a more intelligent and efficient electronic nose.
Collaborating with Ainos and Taiwan Inabata Sangyo, Nisshinbo will harness odor-sensing technology to visualize unusual odors in industrial settings like factories. This aims to enable early detection of equipment and environmental abnormalities. NISSHINBO plans to launch these services in 2025. In addition to NISSHINBO development and manufacturing of existing analog semiconductor devices, Nisshinbo will provide solutions to new markets, contributing to the evolution and progress of the industrial world.
Through this joint development, Nisshinbo aims to make a positive impact on society with technology and innovation, working towards a sustainable future. Nisshinbo kindly asks for your continued attention to its endeavors.
