Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. will start production of the NT1191 and the NT1192, low noise amplifiers (LNA), for high-precision GNSS, including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo in June.

The NT1191 is a wide-bandwidth LNA for multi-band GNSS (1164 MHz to 1610 MHz) and the NT1192 is a 1.2-GHz LNA for L5/L2/L6 bands (1164 MHz to 1300 MHz). See Figure 1 for both products.

In recent years, the number of equipment that requires high-precision location information, such as automobiles, drones, and wearable devices, has been increasing. For high-precision positioning, it is necessary to have multi-band capability to receive signals of the 1.2-GHz band in addition to the conventional 1.5-GHz band. We will further add LNA products for high-precision GNSS to our product lineup.

NT1192 (EPFFP6-FA package [0.7×1.1×0.37mm]) and NT1191 (DFN1616-6-GE package [1.6×1.6×0.78mm])


NT1191 Features

1. Gain Flatness and Low Noise Figure (NF) in All GNSS Bandwidth

Gain flatness and low noise figure (NF) is achieved in all GNSS bandwidths, from 1164 MHz to 1610 MHz.
It contributes to reducing the difference in receiving sensitivity between bands when receiving multi-band signals.

2. Wide Range of Operating Voltage

It supports a wide range of operating voltage from 1.5 to 5.5 V and can operate with a variety of supply voltages.

3. Wettable Flank Package

By mounting in a package with a wettable flank structure, it can be applied to automatic visual inspection, which is often required in automotive equipment, etc.


NT1192 Features

1. High Gain and Low Noise Figure (NF) in the 1.2-GHz Band

In the 1.2-GHz band (1164 MHz to 1300 MHz), a high gain of 20 dB and a low noise figure (NF) of 0.7 dB are achieved.

2. Small and thin Package

It is mounted in a small, 0.7 × 1.1 mm, and thin leadless package, which is suitable for mobile devices.
Requiring only two external components achieves a reduction in the mounting area.
