Round-table Forum
In addition to the speeches, Mr. Yu Yangwei, the System Design Director of JoulWatt, was also invited to participate in the round-table forum session of the conference, where he engaged alongside three other distinguished guests from the fast-charging industry in discussions and shared insights on five topics related to fast charging technologies.
JoulWatt System Design Director Yu Yangwei Participates in Round-table Forum
Regarding the most noteworthy and promising aspects of fast charging technology, Yu Yangwei shared his perspective that enhancing charging speed and efficiency, boosting innovation in battery materials and technology, and upgrading the performance of battery management systems are pivotal to the development of fast charging technology. On the topic of fast charging technology and its impact on battery life, Yu Yangwei opined that while fast charging technology may indeed exert some influence on battery lifespan, measures can be taken to strike a balance between fast charging and maintaining a healthy battery life.
Discussing the topic of achieving compatibility and standardization across different brands' fast charging technologies, Yu Yangwei also shared his viewpoints. He emphasized that it is essential for various brands to strengthen collaboration and communication, working together to formulate a unified fast charging technology standard. It is equally important to take into account future technological trends, ensuring that the standard possesses both foresight and scalability. By enacting relevant regulations and standards, mobile phone manufacturers and charging equipment producers can be required to adhere to a uniform fast charging technology standard. Additionally, through certification and testing mechanisms, it is possible to guarantee that the charging devices on the market meet the stipulated standard requirements, thereby ensuring user safety and efficiency during charging.
Mr. Yu Yangwei holds the view that the widespread adoption of new energy vehicles (NEVs) and the growing market demand have placed higher requirements on charging speeds and efficiencies. He considers that accelerating the construction and layout of charging facilities, as well as improving their coverage and convenience, are key factors for the application of fast charging technology in the NEV sector. One of the challenges that fast charging technology needs to address is how to ensure quick charging while minimizing the impact on battery performance.
When discussing the future impact of the popularization of fast charging technology, Yu Yangwei believes that this technology will make people's lives more convenient and efficient, and will further propel societal development. The field of new energy vehicles is a significant arena where fast charging technology can play a crucial role, and the mobile device sector is also an area where fast charging technology holds great potential.
JoulWatt's independent R&D and advanced process capabilities, rich product portfolios to increase customer application coverage, and full process quality management will help build high-performance analog chips in all aspects and contribute to the development of fast charging industry.
