On January 28, the "semiconductor thermoelectric chip pilot platform" located in the science park of Wuhan University of Technology has been fully operational.

The "Semiconductor Thermoelectric Chip Project" is a major scientific and technological project developed by Zhang Qingjie, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor at Wuhan University of Technology. It has received financial support of 20 million yuan from the urban two-level finance, as well as relevant rent and equipment purchase subsidies. It has built a domestic "pilot platform for semiconductor thermoelectric chips" with an annual output of 500000 chips. At present, the pilot test of the project has been completed, and the power consumption is lower than 30% of the international industry level. It has obtained batch orders from well-known domestic optical module manufacturers and is expected to be put into the market in batches after half a year.

According to Wuhan Science and Technology Innovation News, on January 12, Zhang Qingjie, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Sheng Jiliang, secretary of the party group and director of the Wuhan Science and Technology Bureau, jointly completed the unveiling ceremony of the Wuhan Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Pilot Platform for semiconductor thermoelectric chips.

Yan Yonggao, Founder of NEW SAIL TECHNOLOGY and a professor at the State Key Laboratory of New Materials Composite Technology of Wuhan University of Technology, introduced that the pilot platform has already put a product into mass production and obtained small batch orders. This product has been fully localized and is a real Chinese core.
