MindMotion‘s Automotive Chip Testing and Validation Laboratory Receives CNAS Certification
Recently, Shanghai MindMotion Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "MindMotion Microelectronics") announced that its Automotive Chip Testing and Validation Laboratory (referred to as the "Automotive Chip Lab") has successfully obtained CNAS certification after undergoing rigorous evaluations.
This certification signifies that the laboratory’s hardware facilities, testing capabilities, and management systems meet the national accreditation standards. It indicates the ability to provide professional, reliable, and compliant authoritative testing services. Additionally, it offers more credible and recognized testing reports, allowing customers to garner increased trust and opportunities in the market.
Situated within the Zhangjiang Innovation Center in Pudong, Shanghai (No. 54D, Lane 565, Shengxia Road), the Automotive Chip Testing and Validation Laboratory spans approximately 1000 square meters, equipped with over 200 sets of various testing devices and supported by a team of over 30 dedicated engineers. The laboratory, constructed according to international standards for automotive chip testing, possesses comprehensive capabilities for full automotive grade verification of chips and has completed AEC-Q100 experimental certifications for multiple chips.
MindMotion Microelectronics has been devoted to crafting high-quality MCU automotive-grade chips in China. With the establishment of the Automotive Chip Lab, they have achieved comprehensive capabilities in testing chips, from design and development to wafer fabrication, packaging, and official testing certification, fully complying with automotive-grade standards. Furthermore, they actively respond to the government's call and aim to bridge the gap between domestic and international automotive-grade chip testing and certification standards.
The planning, construction, management, and certification of MindMotion Microelectronics' Automotive Chip Lab are led by Mr. Chen Dawei, Senior Vice President of MindMotion Microelectronics Quality Center (formerly an overall expert group member of the "Nuclear High-tech" major project review committee, Chief Engineer of the China Electronics Standardization Institute, authoritative expert in national industrial standards and automotive-grade standards). The lab was officially put into operation in January 2022 under Mr. Chen Dawei's leadership. Since then, the team led by Mr. Chen has established a top-tier chip automotive-grade lab domestically, rapidly enhancing the overall testing capabilities of the company's chips, forming a professional team for chip automotive-grade testing, and completing relevant system certifications (such as ISO 26262, CNAS ISO/IEC 17025).
MindMotion Microelectronics' Automotive Chip Lab possesses independent and complete AEC-Q100 chip testing capabilities, divided into five main sections: electrical testing, automotive-grade reliability testing, electromagnetic compatibility, functional safety, and application conditions.
CNAS, short for China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, is a national accreditation institution established and authorized by the State Administration for Market Regulation according to the regulations on certification and accreditation of China. CNAS evaluates and supervises qualified certification, laboratory, inspection institutions, and other relevant organizations to confirm their capabilities in conducting corresponding conformity assessment activities. It ensures the authority and effectiveness of their conformity assessment activities and plays a pivotal role in accreditation constraints.
MindMotion Microelectronics' Automotive Chip Lab is now open to the public and will continue to provide customers with higher-quality and more professional services using its solid technical expertise and rigorous management system. It aims to collaborate with industry partners to elevate the standards of domestic automotive-grade chips collectively.
