SLKOR GaAs Hall Element SL-302B Operates at a Voltage of 5V and Requires only 5mA of Operating Current
The working principle of a gallium arsenide Hall element is based on the Hall effect. When a charged particle passes through a gallium arsenide crystal, a transverse electric field is generated within the crystal, which is called the Hall electric field. When this crystal is placed in a magnetic field, the Hall electric field is distorted by the magnetic field, resulting in a voltage signal on the surface of the crystal. This voltage signal is directly proportional to the strength and direction of the magnetic field. Therefore, the magnitude and polarity of the voltage signal can be measured to determine the strength and direction of the magnetic field.

Gallium arsenide Hall elements have many advantages, such as high precision, high stability, fast response, and low power consumption. They are commonly used in magnetic field detection, position detection, speed measurement, and proximity sensing fields. In the automotive electronics field, gallium arsenide Hall elements are widely used in braking systems, steering systems, and airbag safety systems. In the consumer electronics field, they are often used in electronic compasses, game controllers, and smartphones. Today, we will introduce SLKOR's gallium arsenide Hall element, the SL-302B.
The SL-302B is an advanced gallium arsenide Hall element that features a single N-polarity design. Firstly, this gallium arsenide Hall element operates at a voltage of 5V, allowing it to easily adapt to standard 5V power supply systems. This commonly used voltage enables its widespread application in various circuits and devices. Secondly, it has a low power consumption design, requiring only 5mA of operating current. Lastly, the SL-302B is packaged in a compact SSIP-4 package with four pins, making it convenient for installation and connection. This small form factor makes it suitable for applications with limited space, such as mobile devices, automotive electronics, and industrial automation, among others.
The characteristics and parameters of the SL-302B GaAs Hall Element make it commonly used in fields such as mobile devices, automotive electronics, and industrial automation. With its single N-polarity design, it can detect the direction of the magnetic field near the sensor. This detection function is often required in areas such as automotive braking systems, steering systems, and airbag safety systems. Additionally, the SL-302B features low power consumption, making it suitable for electronic devices that prioritize low power consumption, such as smartphones and tablets.
In addition to the SL-302B, SLKOR offers many high-performance and excellent Hall sensor products, such as SLSS360-3, SLSS49E-3, SL-322B, SLOH49E-9, SLSS451A-9, SL1603SH, SL1623SH, and more. These products meet the market's demand for low-power consumption and high-performance sensors. SLKOR Semiconductor will continue to drive innovation and development in electronic products.
