Six New Models of Cmsemicon MCU BAT32A2 Series Passed AEC-Q100 Automotive Certification
China Micro Semicon (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Cmsemicon) announced that the automotive-grade MCU BAT32A2 series automotive certification is progressing well, and a total of six models of the two series, BAT32A239, and BAT32A279, have passed the AEC-Q100 Grade 1 automotive grade reliability certification by the authoritative third-party testing and certification organization SGS.
Cmsemicon automotive-grade MCU BAT32A237 series was successfully certified for the first time, which kicked off the international certification of the company's automotive series. BAT32A239 and BAT32A279 automotive MCU series have successfully passed AEC-Q100 Grade 1 certification, which is another confirmation of Cmsemicon’s automotive product R&D capabilities, marking that Cmsemicon automotive chips have formed the advantages of serialization, scenario, and platform development in the body domain, connectivity domain, and auxiliary driving domain.
AT32A2 series are automotive-grade, high-quality 32-bit MCUs independently developed by Cmsemicon, which are suitable for automotive complex control conditions and harsh environments with high safety and reliability. BAT32A239 is a mid-end automotive grade MCU based on Arm Cortex®-M0+ core, with an operating frequency of 64MHz, 256KB Flash, 32KB SRAM, and 2.5KB dedicated Data Flash, integrated multiple advanced timers, rich analog peripherals, and 2-channel CAN/LIN and other communication interfaces. The operating voltage range is 2.0-5.5V, the operating temperature is -40℃~125℃, and LQFP48, LQFP64, and LQFP80 packages are available.
With its excellent features, the BAT32A239 series has been commercially available in OEMs and Tier 1 clients, covering a wide range of in-vehicle electronic control modules, such as headlights/taillights, digital instrument clusters, gearshift actuators, digital keys, DC/DC power supplies, seat controllers, lumbar massager controllers, ultrasonic radars, ripple anti-pinch actuators, AQS sensors, and other body domain related applications.
BAT32A279 series is a mid-to-high-end automotive series developed by Cmsemicon based on Arm Cortex®-M0+ core, with an operating frequency of 64MHz, 512KB Flash, 64KB SRAM, and 20KB dedicated Data Flash, integrating a variety of advanced timers, rich analog peripherals and a variety of communication interfaces such as 3-channel CAN/LIN. It operates at a voltage of 2.0-5.5V and a temperature of -40°C to 125℃ and is available in LQFP64, LQFP80, and LQFP100 packages.
Based on large resources, an integrated 3-channel CAN interface, and rich analog peripheral resources, the BAT32A279 series further extends automotive application scenarios such as digital instrument clusters, ripple seat controllers, BCM controllers, T-BOX, and other automotive body domain control, and has already been applied in small quantities by OEMs and Tier 1 clients.
Cmsemicon has a complete and broad product layout in the field of automotive electronics, BAT32A279, BAT32A239, and BAT32A237 have formed a complete automotive product matrix, which can provide a complete ecosystem of chips, development kits, solutions, and other support tailored to the needs of OEMs, and resources and pin definitions are kept downward compatible, which makes it convenient for development and rapid introduction, and accelerates the process of mass production.
In the field of automotive electronics, Cmsemicon is continuously refining its technological innovation to establish long-term strategic partnerships with more leading Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs in the industry, in order to jointly build a healthy and sustainable domestic automotive ecosystem. With its profound technology accumulation and competitive R&D capabilities, Cmsemicon’s highly reliable automotive chips that meet more stringent automotive certification standards will be released in 2024.
