Firecomms Present the Latest SMI Transceivers, A Smart Solution for EMI/EMC Isolation between Cabinets, Boxes, or Control Cards
Firecomms, a global leader in Plastic Optic Fiber Transceivers (POF Transceivers) and the provision of fiber optic solutions is announcing its latest range of optical fiber components.
In response to the rising demands for higher EMI immunity particularly in the medical industry, Firecomms has improved its product offerings right throughout its product portfolio.
Firecomms DC-50 MBd SMI transceiver consists of separate transmitter and receiver channels enabling duplex transmission over duplex plastic optic fiber cable.
The optical transmitter is a visible red 650nm Resonant Cavity Light Emitting Diode (RCLED) with an integrated driver IC. The receiver is a fully integrated silicon IC with a front-end light-sensing dual-differential-photodiode and a push-pull TTL/LVTTL compatible CMOS output stage. They are housed in an SMI connector providing a latched plug connection.
The SMI is ideal for Modbus, PROFIBUS, or RS232/RS485 over fiber. A full connector suit with long and short body plugs, a passive interconnect supporting DC-50 MBd link for industrial command and control applications. It is a smart solution for EMI/EMC isolation between cabinets, boxes, or control cards.
With the expansion of its product portfolio, Firecomms’ new offering strengthened its capabilities to satisfy the current market requirements by providing a small multimedia interface solution.
