Syrlinks, a leading company in the design of RF Communication systems for Space releases the EWC31-NG Transceiver product, a new generation of S-Band TT&C (Tracking, Telemetry, and Commands) addressing Nano/ Cube satellites.

This new design benefits from its predecessor the EWC31 more than 6 years of return on experience in the implementation and operating of TT&C technologies.

The EWC31-NG has been specially designed to achieve top-class performance in terms of Tx/Rx communication links (CCSDS compliant), low power consumption, and radiation tolerance. Its very compact and optimized form factor with a built-in DC/DC converter will contribute to global satellite integration optimization. Furthermore, it will ease satellite operators to extend the mission duration and consequently increase their Return On Investment.

“The team is very proud of releasing this new design that meets our customer’s expectation to integrate a very compact, rugged, and high-performance TT&C component within their small satellites,” says Ronan FOUBERT, Nano/Cube Satellites Product Manager at Syrlinks.

The EWC31-NG design belongs to the “New Space IV” Syrlinks product assurance category. This perfectly meets the requirements of NewSpace missions, targeting a typical 3-year lifetime at Low Earth Orbit with a Total Ionized radiation Dose of 10 krad.

“With this new product, we follow our strategy to miniaturize the core RF transmission technologies as required for the SmallSats, maintaining a high level of performance. This perfectly addresses the New Space market trend and expectations”, adds Eric PINSON, Director of Space activity at Syrlinks.
