Exeger and Nisshinbo Micro Devices are in Partnership to Produce Maintenance-free IoT Devices
Both Exeger and Nisshinbo develop components for energy harvesting. Stockholm-headquartered Exeger is the inventor and manufacturer of the groundbreaking Powerfoyle® solar cell technology that converts all forms of light into clean, endless energy.
Exeger’s photovoltaic cells can be produced in any shape and size, which will help drive the adoption of light-powered products in the next generation of connected consumer and industrial devices.
The first demo product will use Nisshinbo’s newly released RIOT-002 Environment Sensing Board that can send sensor data of temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, illuminance, and 3-axis acceleration to tablets and other devices via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
Coupled with Exeger’s Indoor platform, which has been optimized for low light levels, Nisshinbo’s collaboration with Exeger makes it easy to develop new IoT edge devices and cuts down on the time required to build such IoT devices. Environment data loggers and electronic shelf tags are examples of products that can benefit from this partnership.
A sensor board using the combined technologies will be demonstrated at Electronica, Münich, Germany November 15-18, 2022. Staff members from top management, sales, engineering, and marketing will be available to answer your questions at the booth.
