●REACH directive
■Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), which established a European Chemicals Agency and amended Directive 1999/45/EC, including legal text published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
●REACH Annex XV Restriction report (Proposal for the Restriction on the manufacture, placing on the market and use of PFASs)
■The chemical scope of the restriction proposal is defined as: Any substance that contains at least one fully fluorinated methyl (CF3-) or methylene (-CF2-) carbon atom (without any H/Cl/Br/I attached to it) with a few noted fully degradable exceptions.
●PFAS restricted substances
■Knowles declares that the product listed below have no intentionally added PFAS as previously defined by the OECD and now defined in the REACH Annex XV restriction report, and shown again in the above text.
