◆Direct drive linear motor design minimizes moving mass inertia, eliminating backlash thus maximizing measurement repeatability and accuracy.
◆SMAC's exclusive “Soft-Land" technology can move slowly to contact with the workpiece with gram-level forces and settle on the surface to be measured.
◆Uses own built in linear encoder with 1um resolution which assures at least 5um repeata-bility. This equates to 3 decimal points of resolution (mm) measurement capability con-servatively.
◆Requires 110/220VAC, is portable and can measure both vertically or horizontally.
◆Measurement data can be uploaded to your favorite 3rd party data collection devices, using standard RS232 serial communication.
◆Operators can make measurements with minimal training.

■The complete MLA System includes our LCA25 SMAC Actuator with 100mm measuring range with 1um encoder resolution, pre-programmed controller, built-in 24VDC power supply, adjustable measurement probe, storage case, operations manual, and HMI Dis-play. The system operates on standard 110/220VAC and is a FULLY OPERATIONAL INTEGRATED MEASURING SYSTEM – RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX.
