Vishay Sfernice Sets Plastic Tape and Reel Packaging as Standard for Thin Film Resistors in 0402 Case Size
●Vishay Sfernice has updated the standard packaging for some of its standard thin film resistors in the 0402 case size.This decision comes from the need for better ESD protection and a common standard packaging for all sizes;it is NOT a notice of obsolescence or change in the products.Production processes will stay the same,and final products,tests,and periodic surveillance will remain identical.There will be NO impact on quality,reliability,or performance.
●As of January 1 2019,plastic tape and reel is the standard packaging for the series listed below.Paper tape will remain available as an option in reels of 100,200,and 500 pieces,but will no longer be available in reels of 1000 and 2500 pieces.Datasheets will be updated accordingly.Please refer to these or contact Vishay customer service to choose the appropriate packaging codification.
