This new Phase Control Thyristor expands the Littelfuse high power rectifier portfolio by utilizing the latest production and assembly techniques for large-area devices. Useful in medium and high voltage applications to convert AC to DC, this thyristor operates at line frequencies where keeping conduction losses low is important. Typically used in high power applications, medium voltage motor control applications, or soft starters.
