Shindengen Expands Its FRD Lineup Expansion for Miniaturization and High Withstand Voltages
Shindengen Electric Manufacturing is expanding its lineup of K-series fast recovery diodes.
In recent years, the development of automotive products and consumer electronics has led to the need for various specifications of fast recovery diodes (FRDs), such as smaller size and higher withstand voltages.
To meet these needs, Shindengen Electric Manufacturing has expanded its FRD K-series lineup.
D10FR60K for critical operation PFC applications in consumer electronics
In the ever-evolving consumer electronics market, the increase in the number of components and higher power consumption associated with multi-functionality requires further miniaturization and larger capacitance of the mounted components. In our FRD K-series, 10A products were only available in insertion-type packages, but now we have developed the D10FR60K, which uses a surface-mount type "FR package". This meets the need for compactness and high capacitance.

Product Specifications
D2CE80K for automotive inverters
In the overcurrent protection of IGBTs used in motor drive inverters, DESAT circuits are replacing the current detection method mainly used in conventional HEVs. This has led to an increase in demand for 800 V FRDs, and we have now developed the 800 V withstand voltage D2CE80K. As it is AEC-Q101 compliant, it can be used in automotive products that use high currents.
Typical Applications
DESAT circuit of in-vehicle inverter
PFC application of lighting
Consumer appliances
