The <MM3684 series> Protection IC for Lithium Ion/Lithium Polymer 3-5 Cell Secondary Battery features the additional functions of temperature protection and multi-stage overcurrent protection. This helps to achieve a low consumption current and better space efficiency that could not be achieved with existing circuit layouts and also helps to improve the safety of lithium ion batteries.

Built-in overcharge, over-discharge, and overcurrent protection functions
3-stage discharge overcurrent protection
Detection of 2 values of high and low temperatures with an external NTC to protect battery packs
Built-in secondary protection function to drive external FET for FUSE
Intermittent operation with temperature protection for a low consumption current
Over-discharge detection voltage switch function (2 values can be set)
