3PEAK Showcases Multiple Auto-grade Products at Auto China 2024
On April 25, 2024, the 2024 (18th) Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China) commenced with a grand opening at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall). 3PEAK (Stock Code: 688536), a leading semiconductor supplier of analog chips and embedded processors, showcased a series of new auto-grade devices at the China chip booth E1-W03 in the Smart Driving Future exhibition area.
Multi-channel power management integrated circuit (PMIC) TPU254xxQ
The TPU254xxQ is a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) that integrates five buck converters and five low-dropout (LDO) regulators. Featuring customizable output voltages and power-up/down sequencing, it caters to applications requiring multiple buck converters and LDO regulators. Buck 1 to buck 4 of the TPU254xxQ offer programmable output voltages ranging from 0.6 V to 2.55 V, with a maximum output current of 4.5 A. Buck 5 provides a programmable output voltage range of 0.6 V to 3.8 V, with a maximum output current of 3.5 A. Buck 1 and 2 as well as 3 and 4 can be configured in a dual-phase merge mode to deliver up to 9 A of output current. Each of the three LDO regulators can output 300 mA of current, while the other two LDO regulators can output 10 mA each. In addition, the TPU254xxQ features power-on reset output, output current limit protection, output short-circuit and overload protection, as well as overheating protection. It uses a 48-pin 6 × 6 mm QFN package with a heat sink to enhance thermal performance.
In various automotive subsystems, such as in-vehicle infotainment, body domain controller, advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), and lighting, reverse power protection and the redundant power ORing design play crucial roles. The TPS65R01Q, as an ideal diode controller, is introduced to address these needs specifically for automotive applications. The TPS65R01Q integrates a charge pump module to activate the NMOS, maintaining a low forward conduction voltage drop of just 20 mV. Compared to traditional Schottky diodes, this design significantly reduces power consumption and effectively alleviates thermal management issues. The TPS65R01Q can provide a maximum power output of ±65 V and operates at a minimum voltage of 3.2 V, meeting the stringent requirements of automotive cold starts.
The TPT1462Q, introduced by 3PEAK, is a CAN transceiver designed for automotive applications with Controller Area Network Signal Improvement Capability (CAN SIC). It adheres to the ISO 11898 and CiA601-4 protocol requirements, offers a communication speed of up to 8 Mbps, and supports VIO interface communication from 1.7 V to 5.5 V, allowing direct communication with MCUs without external level shifting. This transceiver is suitable for providing reliable communication links in automotive electronic systems. The TPT1462Q's CAN signal improvement feature enhances signal quality, reduces error rates, and improves interference immunity, thereby optimizing communication performance and increasing system reliability. This makes the TPT1462Q an excellent choice for the design and application of automotive electronic systems.
High-speed Comparator TPA2031Q
The TPA2031Q is a micro-power, high-speed auto-grade comparator with push-pull output and low input offset voltage characteristics. It is capable of stable operation at supply voltages as low as 1.8 V, with each channel consuming only 350 µA of current. The comparator design of the TPA2031Q incorporates an internal charge pump that generates an internal power rail higher than the external supply (V+). This internal power rail serves as the power source for the input stage, allowing a single differential input pair to operate linearly over a wide input common-mode range.
3PEAK has been dedicated to the innovative research and development of automotive devices and has already developed over 150 automotive-grade products.
