UNIMOTION develops and manufactures linear units designed for installation in various automated devices. They consist of an aluminium profile in which the guides are attached, along which the trolley runs, which is driven by a toothed belt or a ball spindle.


Stepper or servo motors are commonly used to drive linear units. The connection is made with a coupling and an intermediate piece that rigidly connects the two elements. In addition to the intermediate piece, the motor and the linear unit can be connected to a side drive, the purpose of which is to turn the motor to the other side (towards the linear unit). In addition, different gear ratios are achieved with different types.

Some types of linear units can be adapted to operate in clean rooms. Such linear units have built-in corrosion-resistant and more durable elements that produce fewer waste particles when worn, which means that Unimotion linear units can be used both in medicine and in various powder coating materials.


Unimotion linear units are ready for modular construction of machines and devices. With different accessories, we can combine different types of linear units into different multi-axis systems.


Unimotion Linear Unit CTL

The new, UNIMOTION CTL Linear Unit with built-in high-performance Unimotion linear motor drive offers an excellent design and compact form with no compromise to high performance.


CTL linear units are one the latest addition to the Unimotion sales program. The CTL is a linear unit with an integrated linear motor, characterized by high precision achieved using precise guides and high dynamics, which is a feature of the linear motor. A feature of a linear motor drive is that said linear units do not contain backlash, which allows precise movements. Compact dimensions and different linear motor sizes cover a wide range of applications. They can be optionally equipped with energy circuits suitable for very dynamic and quieter applications. The anodized aluminium profile has side slots for the clamps and the magnetic switch between the bracket has a built-in magnet to activate the switch. The central lubrication connection allows easy re-lubrication and simplified maintenance.
