As the technologies in automotive electronics continue advancing, more and more automotive microphones enabling HF (Hands-Free) communications or ANC (Active Noise Canceling) features are waiting for their mounting opportunities. This demand draws attention to the microphones supporting A2B (Automotive Audio Bus) digital communication, which realize simplified and lightweight wiring.

Making full use of EMC solution technology lined with our long and enriched expertise in acoustic and connection parts technology, HOSIDEN has released new A2B Microphones. Mounted with the Hosiden-made MEMS microphone unit realizing flat frequency characteristics up to a low range of 20Hz, the highest standard in the industry, the microphone enables both HF and ANC in a single unit.

Selection of three variety of models is available: HHM1016 is a model of single microphone type attached with a wire harness. HHM1005 has two microphones by utilize an array microphone which allows directional characteristics using the phase information of sound pressure as well as noise suppression effect. HHM1015 is a compact, economic type stored in a connector-integrated enclosure.

Product Name and Model Number

Product name: A2B microphone

Part Number:

HHM1016-010010 (A2B microphone/1 microphone with a harness)
HHM1005-010010 (A2B microphone/2 microphones with a harness)
HHM1015-010010 (A2B microphone/1 microphone; connector-integrated)

Typical Features

A2B interface supported, bus connectable; saves the number of harness wires, greatly contributing to weight saving.

Due to the flat frequency characteristics through the range from low to high, the microphone can be used for the common use of HF and ANC, saving the number of necessary microphones to be mounted.

Three variations are available: a microphone with a harness (HHM1016), two microphones with a harness supporting directivity and noise suppression (HHM1005), and a connector-integrated, compact model that saves mounting space (HHM1015).

Application
