Hosiden Strengthened Sales of MIPI A-PHY-supported Automotive Connectors and Harnesses
HOSIDEN has been providing many car manufacturers as well as their Tier 1 suppliers with coaxial connectors and harness assemblies for high-speed digital signal transmission, working steadily in the background, supporting ADAS evolution. When applied to our products, the transmission signal waveform quality is of the utmost importance for ADAS and high-speed transmission applications. Therefore, we always obtain and study the latest information on the required performance, such as scattering parameters which are specific to each SER/DES manufacturer, and then with our customers we check harness routing, verify the transmission path and assist with installation in the vehicle.
In the meantime, automotive SER/DES standardization has been accelerated and an IC supporting MIPI A-PHY was released in 2022. Further, as the Hosiden connectors and harness assemblies (3m x 5 (4 connections)) are verified including their interoperability with MIPI-A-PHY, their applications include MIPI A-PHY in addition to the existing automotive SER/DES. This verification of interoperability was given with the cooperation of Valens, the front runner for SER/DES supporting MIPI A-PHY. Currently, every coaxial connector and harness assembly, including the products in the series production lines and the developing products to be launched in series production lines, have been verified for compliance with the MIPI A-PHY standard. This will be another strong assurance to our customers who currently use Hosiden products if they are considering changing to MIPI A-PHY for their next models as there is no need to change the routing system.
Hosiden will strongly contribute to the enhanced safety and security of vehicles by offering quality connectors and harness assemblies. We believe the interoperability with MIPI A-PHY that we confirmed will surely help to assure an even stronger supply chain of car manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers, as well as improving ECU performance.
