Several Knowledge Points about Programmable Crystal Oscillator Chips
What is a programmable crystal oscillator? Programmable crystal oscillators are mostly active crystal oscillators, consisting of two chips; one is an all-silicon MEMS resonator, and the other is a chip with a temperature compensation function that can start the circuit phase-locked loop CMOS. It uses standardized semiconductor chip MCM packaging. Fully automated standard semiconductor manufacturing processes can be used, such as ICs used in current electronic product design, which have very good stability and quality; human errors cannot occur during the production process.

Usually, the production lead time is 1-3 days. We know that for conventional passive crystal oscillators or active crystal oscillators when the wafers are in stock, the production lead time is 2-3 weeks, the regular lead time is about 4-6 weeks, and the special period is 2-3 months.
Therefore, in terms of lead time, programmable crystal oscillators not only have advantages in lead time but also in frequency. Functionally, the problem of temperature drift is eliminated.
