Yint Electronics Offers 48V Common Protection Scheme Solutions for 5G Communication Power Supply
The fifth generation mobile communication technology is a new generation of broadband mobile communication technology with high speed, low latency, and large connection characteristics. It is the network infrastructure that realizes the interconnection of humans, machines, and things.
Characteristics Of 5G
Compared with existing 3G and 4G communications, 5G communications have the characteristics of ultra-high speed and extremely low latency. The reason for these characteristics is that 5G communication uses a higher frequency spectrum. Taking China as an example: the frequency band of 4G LTE is 1.8GHz-2.65GHz, while the currently announced frequency band of 5G is 3.3GHz-5GHz. In the future, millimeter wave (mmW) 5G communications higher than 6GHz will be built. The higher the frequency ν, the smaller the wavelength λ. For wireless communication, this means the smaller the coverage area of the communication signal. On the one hand, this requires a higher density of 5G communication base stations. 5G Power Supply Requirements

5G communications will see a large number of micro (small) base stations. If batch failures occur, the maintenance costs will be astonishingly high. To reduce maintenance costs, improving power supply reliability is the main requirement for 5G communication power supply. ② Advantages of the solution: The protection level is relatively high, and devices can be flexibly replaced to achieve different protection levels.
③ Disadvantages of the solution: The devices used are relatively large and take up a lot of space, which is not conducive to miniaturization design.

① Device selection: If the protection level is not high, choose SMDJ58CA or 5.0SMDJ58CA.
