Yint Electronics Recommends an ESDSM712 Electrostatic Protection Device for RS485 Communication Interface Circuit
The RS485 communication method is often used between the collector and the smart meter, or between the collector and the concentrator. Due to the complex and uncontrollable electromagnetic environment, the RS485 chip is often impacted by surges and static electricity, causing damage to the system or components.

YINT Electronics recommends the RS485 communication port and uses an ESDSM712 electrostatic protection device for the RS485 Communication Interface. ESDSM712 adopts a 7V and 12V asymmetric internal structure, which can suppress static electricity or surge of RS485 dual-wire common mode 12V and differential mode 14V. Its main parameters are:
