Yint Offers a Solution Compliing with IEC61000-4-2 Air 15KV and Contact 8KV for ESD Protection Of Antennas In The Communications Industry
An antenna is a converter that converts guided waves propagating on a transmission line into electromagnetic waves propagating in an unbounded medium (usually free space), or vice versa. Engineering systems such as radio communications, radio, television, radar, navigation, electronic countermeasures, remote sensing, radio astronomy, etc., all use electromagnetic waves to transmit information, all rely on antennas to work.
The communication signals emitted by the antennas operate at radio frequencies of 900, 1,900 (DECT), 2,400, and 5,800 MHz and have a magnitude less than 1.0 Vp-p. Due to the high-frequency nature of these signals, the capacitance of the suppressor must be considered to avoid signal attenuation.

For ESD protection of antennas in the communications industry, you can use PGB polymer anti-static series 0603 packaged devices, or you can use the pressure-sensitive 0402 packaged device ESD040224VP080.
