Link-PP Launched 2.5G 5G 10G and other high-rate 10 Gigabit Network Transformers
Driven by the next-generation information technology represented by big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things, China has stepped into the “big data” era and has become a truly “world data center”.
In the era of big data, the amount of data processing has grown by hundreds of millions of dollars. This means that the network transformer, which is the basic component of data transmission, not only needs to meet the most basic transmission performance but also requires a substantial increase in the transmission rate. The rate 10G chip solution requires the stability of its products from the core components. As a mature network transformer manufacturer, LINK-PP has introduced a variety of 10 Gigabit Ethernet Network Transformers such as 2.5G 5G 10G. Can meet the needs of various types of high-speed 10-Gigabit switches and other core network boards.
The IEEE organization launched the 802.3an protocol as early as 2006, which is what we commonly call 10G Base-T. As an upgraded version of 1000M Base-T, this protocol follows some important definitions and settings of 1000M Base-T and is backward compatible with 1000M/100M/10M Base-T.
The 10G Base-T still uses the RJ45 network interface. The transmission twisted pair uses the Category 6 cable. The supported transmission distance is up to 100 meters. It is the best choice for LAN and personal computer network interfaces. Four differential pairs are still used for simultaneous transmission, full-duplex, but the total transmission rate is up to 10Gbps, and the rate per line is as high as 2.5Gbps.
The 10G Base-T network transformer uses PAM16 modulation, which is higher than the PAM5 modulation of the 1000M Base-T network transformer. PAM is the pulse amplitude modulation, PAM16 modulation, the pulse voltage amplitude is divided into 16 levels, so each voltage amplitude (called "Symbol") can represent 4 bits of information, of which 3.125 bits are valid data, in addition, 0.875 bits are used to assist and verify. Of course, these 3.125 and 0.875 are averages. With PAM-16 encoding, the data transmission rate of each pair of transmission lines of the 10G Base-T network transformer is 800M Symbols/s. In this way, this protocol trickery generally turns a super high-speed bus of a 10G network transformer into a low-speed bus of only 800 M, making 100 M long-distance transmission a reality, and it also makes signal integrity verification simple.
The power of the 10G Base-T network transformer is obvious. The common RJ45 interface, commonly uses six types of transmission lines, the same 100M transmission distance, and the rate can reach 10 times the 1000M Base-T network transformer! Compared with optical fiber, it has a lower cost.
