Deviser Instruments AE2200 Multi-Function Meter Brings Big Capabilities in a Small Package to Streamline Network Verification
San Jose, CA – September 27, 2016 - DEVISER Instruments, Inc., a manufacturer of high-quality, feature-rich network field-test solutions for communications service providers (CSPs) and equipment manufacturers worldwide, today announced the launch of the AE2200 FTTx Multi-Function Meter, a validation tool that combines cable TV analysis, fiber and metallic testing capabilities for the installation of FTTx, RFoG and RF PON networks.
As demand for reliable, multi-gigabit throughput continues to soar, CSPs face the challenge of deploying high-speed fiber into the network, deeper than ever before. The AE2200 represents the company's ultra-portable, multi-function meter engineered to address the validation requirements of FTTx, RFoG and RF PON networks and includes cable TV analysis, metallic time domain reflectometer (TDR), a fiberscope, optical time domain reflectrometer (OTDR), optical power meter, visual fault locator and light source. Users can easily verify optical links with the FiberPath™ fiberlink mapping tool, reducing the need for OTDR trace interpretation. The AE2200 confirms proper optical levels and quickly executes pre-programmed cable TV auto tests that ensure repeatability. The AE2200’s user-friendly touchscreen menu is the perfect tool for introducing less experienced technicians to cutting-edge network technologies, while providing more experienced engineers with the advanced feature-set they require. Seamless uplink with Deviser's SYNCOR Asset and Data Management System allows technicians to easily upload channel plans, test profiles, and test results.
