Smiths Interconnect Announced New E-Band WR12 Waveguide Passive Components Handling High Levels of Forward and Reflected RF Power
Smiths Interconnect announced today that it is extending its broad range of passive components in E-band with the addition of WR12 couplers, loads, and isolators.
The comprehensive range of broadband WR12 Waveguide passive components have been designed for next-generation E-Band terrestrial uplinks to LEO constellations and payloads. Each application has specific environmental demands, and the family of products has been optimized to manage the particularly high RF powers required to sustain a robust communications link.

Smiths Interconnect’s WR12 E-band isolator utilizes a novel design approach selected to be able to handle high levels of forward and reflected RF power, offering the following features:
Tuneless and broadband, suitable for global applications.
Suitable for signal splitting and combining applications and readily configurable with a selection of high-power termination appropriate to the incident power.
Operating over the allocated band (71-76 and 81-86 GHz.)
Temperature is stable under exacting thermal loads.
Clear chromate conversion coated.
