The Model 1211 Current Preamplifier is a high-performance device designed for modern laboratory applications. It offers full-scale sensitivity ranging from 10-2 to 10-12 amperes with a dynamic range of 96dB. The preamplifier features a classic analog design for clean signal transmission without high-frequency "hash" and provides wide gain bandwidth product for adjustable rise times from 10µsec to 1 second. It has various output options, including 600Ω, 50Ω, and zero Ω unity gain outputs, and can be gated on and off by a TTL Level Pulse. The unit also includes a 0-5 volt adjustable detector bias supply and can be operated with an optional battery pack. It is suitable for a range of applications, including noise analysis and tunneling microscopy.
